Since 2023, Fulin Group has partnered with Xinhua Village, a key target for rural revitalization in Beichuan County, and has carried out four assistance activities. In the early stages of the assistance activities, Fulin Group joined forces with a team of professors from Southwest University of Science and Technology to provide targeted assistance to Xinhua Village, focusing on the planting technology of the fruit industry. After planting, technological transformation, and pruning, the fruit in Xinfeng Village's orchard has begun to hang on the treetops in May. From a distance, the number of fruits is gratifying, and the growers are also delighted to see the solid fruits in the garden.

On May 16th, Fulin Group and the team of professors from Southwest University of Science and Technology went to the assistance site for the fifth time. The growers happily shared the good news with the professors. However, Professor Zhang said, "We came down for the fifth time specifically to help you thin out the fruit based on the estimated time. Don't think that having more fruit is a good thing!"

In order to achieve good yield and excellent fruit quality, plum trees must be thinned. If there are too many fruits, it is easy to cause overload of fruit during the peak fruiting period, which will affect the growth and development of the tree, resulting in weakened tree vigor, small fruit size, and a significant decline in quality

After hearing Professor Zhang's professional explanation, the growers suddenly realized that they had thought that more fruit was a good thing, but they didn't know that quantity didn't equal quality!

Subsequently, Professor Zhang and his team led the villagers and volunteers from Fulin Group to practice how to correctly thin fruit trees.

Although the weather is getting hot, it can't stop the excited mood of the growers. One of the growers said, "In the past, we only wanted to make our economic conditions better and started planting fruit trees. We didn't have much professional knowledge and just kept our heads down. Since Fulin Group and the team of professors from Southwest University of Science and Technology paired up with our Xinhua Village, they provided us with professional technical support. Before, we didn't know what to do to thin out the fruit and we couldn't even prune the branches! Now, since the professors' explanation and Fulin Group's help, our orchard is getting better and better!"

In August 2018, Xinhua Village was announced as a key target for rural revitalization by the Sichuan Provincial Party Committee Rural Work Leading Group Office. The overall economic income is low due to the scattered industry, large proportion of fruits, and single variety in Xinhua Village
